About me

Who am I? Well, I'm a religious sister, part of the Society of the Sacred Heart (RSCJ), an international congregation. We are called to discover and reveal God's love for all, whose source is in the Open Heart of Jesus. We aim to be united to the Heart of Jesus, contemplative in spirit, generous and educative in mission and passionate for justice, peace and the integrity of creation.

I do my best, daily, to be all of the above...

I grew up in Mitcham, SW London, straddling two cultures. My earliest memories include helping my mum make risotto, gnocchi and delicious stuff with herbs and garlic - and cleaning the bowl after cake-making! I still enjoy cooking. I began this blog while I lived and worked in Oxford, surrounded by the energy and enquiring minds of students, but in autumn 2017 I moved back to London. I now work with parishes and schools, helping them develop their social outreach, and their awareness of the calls of the Gospel and Catholic Social Teaching.

Just so you know...!
I also have a dark sense of humour, enjoy chocolate far too much and love photography and reading for pleasure. Having grown up bilingual I take pleasure in words and languages, and writing, hence this blog...
